Fury is Hunter's story from the beginning you learn more about what happened with his brother Jessie and how it all got started. Jessie will not let his brother become nothing like he is he wants him to go to college and get an education so he can do better with his life.

We know the story of how they met in the first book Fierce, he sees Autumn from across the yard and he can't take his eyes off her. I loved reading about his thoughts ans actions from his perspective even though you know what happens in some of the book it makes it that much more better knowing what he was thinking and feeling.

You find out how he gets into the Alpha Psi frat house, and how be becomes a runner, and has to fight who they tell him to and there is no room for errors, I especially loved what he does and how he goes about it trying to be a good person in a world where there is no good. You see Autumn and Hunter fight there attraction for each other his thoughts and struggles for he thinks she deserves someone better someone who hasn't got a learning disability, deals drugs, fights even if he doesn't want to and is only doing it to get his brother out of jail.

You should read Fierce first as you learn about the story from Autumn's POV and things from her perspective I loved Autumn and Hunter even with all the dancing around the bush about there feelings for each other and mm Hunter is Fierce.

WOW!! LOVED this book so much more than FIERCE. The first book came across less than YA and I was underwhelmed knowing juicy stuff was supposed to be happening but I didn't get any details. But hello Hunter!!! Welcome to a mans dirty mind, I'll gladly read that POV anytime. It was nicely descriptive, detailed and gave me back what was missing from FIERCE - some juicy sex scenes. **** I will say my heart ached for his learning disability and just how hard he struggled that he was constantly making notes for himself. Also, I have never wanted to hug somebody so much in my entire life like I wanted to hug Hunter. It was a great read, I don't care that the book didn't do much explaining about Leafy or her background. I was surprised that the day with the leaf blower was also Hunter's very first day of college. In the first book, he played it off so smooth like he'd already been on campus the previous year. *sigh* I'll be your Leafy any day Hunter Bane <3
I've noticed that New Adult authors gravitate toward the two-part story. If you've read a lot of NA, you know what I mean. This is where you hear a story from one character and then hear it from another, but not in the same book - two separate stories, told from two separate POV, but the same plot. I get why it happens - I wrote a blog post about it not that long ago. And, as I said in that post, many times I've read the second story and thought, "Why did you write two separate books?" That's not the case with Fury.

Hunter's story is quite complex on its own. There is so much of it that Autumn does not know about, things that are very pertinent to the narrative. I could tell you, but that would change your enjoyment as you discover them on your own. If I was writing this story, I'd have integrated the two POVs because I think that it's possible to do so. BUT - and here's where I can make exceptions - this book and its predecessor are told in First Person. I don't typically write in first person and there are many reasons for that. One is that you have a harder time selling to the reader that they know things the characters do not. And for that reason, I think we can justify a second story from Hunter's POV told separately from the first book.

Personally, I loved Hunter more when he was seen through Autumn's eyes. Perhaps it was his self-loathing, or maybe his arrogance, but I had a hard time feeling the same level of worship toward him that I did in Fierce. Nonetheless, I still liked him by the end of the story and I felt genuine empathy for him. I can see why the choice was made to tell the stories separately. What I'd like to see is a story that weaves these two books together into the same narrative. I wonder how it might read differently. A 4-star rating from me.

I love hearing both sides of the"story" but I think hearing it from the H prospective is becoming my favorite because of the passion they show especially when it deals with"their loved ones"...well Hunter was no different. He's had a sad and lonely childhood, the only one he had to count on was his older brother. Though his older brother does what he had to do to take care of Hunter, Hunter claimed he would never go down that road.
When he first sees Autumn he's blown away and I love the nickname he gives her"Leafy". Hunter really tried his hardest to avoid getting involved with Autumn but when love knocks at your heart's front door there's really not much you can do but go with it.... Well our dear Hunter, really tried to fight it but because he felt unworthy and beside he wants to protect Autumn...I loved the suspense, really kept me on the edge of my kindle. There is fighting but I really appreciated that it wasn't overly graphic but tasteful if that makes sense...and when Hunter had to fight to protect the ones he loves you see his "Fury" take full force!!! I fell in love with this book and can't wait for Flame....I want no need more Hunter and Autumn(Leafy)...
