Love this series! The story picks up from when Harlow went to cut trees for Aehako to get Haedon back to the caves. She wakes up cold and in an unfamiliar cave with a very dirty and naked sa-kuhi that she does not know and doesn't seem to understanding her. All she know is that her kuhi is resonating with him. Rukh has been alone for a long time but something drew him to the strange female who was with the 'bad ones' so he take her. Over the course of a year Harlow and Rukh fall in love. She reteaches Rukh the language of his people along with English, teaches him about the soap berries, how to make a fire, and even cure animal hides. Rukh takes her to his cave by the sea were they are happily awaiting the birth of their first kit. Liz and Raahosh find them and when the tribe hunters come to the sea for salt. Liz see's her mate in Rukh. Harlow is not doing well, so Rukh reluctantly take Harlow back to the tribe to see the healer. A very sweet love story. The first human sa-kuhi babies are born.

On my way to writing my review, I had to stop and take a peek at a few other reviews along the way. I smiled the entire time. The few I stopped to read randomly to the bottom of the page, well they just said everything I felt about this book. This one is my absolute favorite so far. Not that I haven't loved all of them but something about these two characters together just sparked something in me to an even greater degree. I know I will enjoy each and every story to come, because the author is just that talented but I also know that I will come back to this one often, to reread and live amongst them again and again. I'm so glad that we didn't have to wait through a dozen more books before the women started going into labor, I was getting impatient wanting to get a peek at the babies.
Once again I let myself be dragged into this science fiction romance series. I cannot seem to help myself. Book four finds previously abducted Harlow kidnapped by Rukh, wild and totally untamed blue beast man. How they manage to come together with the demands of their "khui" forms the basis for the story and an entertaining few hours for me. As with previous books in the series, the humor is laugh out loud, dialogue and stream of consciousness are sharp and do not drag. Previous books' characters come into play making for nice continuity. If you enjoy humor and relationship building, this one is for you. As with all books in this series there are sex scenes (often humorous) which are a part of the whole but do not take over. They can be skimmed over without losing the meat of the story (pun intended).
I love this series! I literally checked daily to see if this book was on there. Unfortunately I was looking for it at the top of the list instead of scrolling down to see if it was there so I didn't get it until 3 days post release. Anyway I absolutely love this series. This book kinda reminded me of another great book "Transcendence" in the beginning. Our H is really cave man like in the beginning and they have trouble communicating. They do end up working it out though. But picture what a man would know if he's been alone in the world since he was 7 and this leads to some pretty cute, funny, serious, and sexy goings on. My favorite part of the whole book though is we get to learn about a couple of the mixed heritage babies! Anyway I would totally recommend this book and the authors other works!
I am completely in love with this series. I've always like the out-of-the-box kind of books and these definitely fall into that category. Ruby Dixon has done an amazing job with her heroines, each of the ladies is completely unique as are the heroes.

Harlow, holy crap I love this heroine. LOVE HER! And I can't tell you how sweet this romance is...male virgin! Wild man... sigh. So much amazingness. This book is one you cannot put down and the twists and turns never seem to stop. Get ready to have your heartstrings pulled!!

The smut factor is out of this world hot -- see what I did there? Aliens, out of this world. Yeah, I'm lame. Don't let the strangeness of aliens and human relationships scare you off, especially if you like paranormal stuff. Vampires, shifters, aliens ... tomato tomatoh. Aside from super fantastic smut, the storyline is solid. There is enough introduction to all of the characters that you are left excited for the next installment. It's also great to get to see the previous characters and how their relationships are moving forward.

BARBARIAN MINE is a great addition to the series and takes a more series turn. It has the same fun and sexy tone as the others however the hero and heroine, Harlow and Rukh are dealing with series issues. Harlow is one of the tube girls that has been abducted by the green men. Her fate on earth was to die as she had a terminal illness. Rukh is a true Barbarian. He has been living alone on Not-Hoth after his father passed away. His father left the clan after his mate died and Rukh now is quite the uncivilized Barbarian not living with others.

When Harlow was out on an excursion with others, Rukh's "cootie" started to resonate with Harlow. He bonked her on the head to take her for himself. Rukh doesn't know how to communicate. He's dirty, nude and uncivilized- a real Tarzan moment. This should bother Harlow more but she recognized that her "cootie" is going crazy. I loved how Harlow and Rukh are alone in the wilderness learning about each other and enjoying each others company more and more. Rukh is a true caveman like character and is a blank slate for Harlow to teach and guide. We all know what that means in this series - sexy times!! Harlow is not a sassy mouthed girl like other heroines in past books - which I loved too. Since Harlow and Rukh are more the quiet and serious type, I felt the emotion of their romance a bit more. I really enjoyed this installment and look forward to many more!
